Use tags to organize your recipients' by their attributes and behavior.

Tags give you the ability to send Private Notifications to specific target groups without the need of specifying every recipient separately. Since Tags are customizable, you can use them however you need to.

Creating a Tag

You can create a tag by assigning it to a recipient. There are two ways to do it.

In the application dashboard when creating a new recipient or updating already existing one. Add tags to recipient in application dashboard

Other and maybe more convenient way is to tag recipients via our API directly from your application. For example when a user joins a mailing list or creates an order.

Predefined Tags

We have one predefined tag, all. Use it to target all your recipients when sending Private Notifications.

Example of API request to create a new recipient with a tag:

curl -X POST "https://api.notific.io/v1/APP_ID/recipients" \
-H "Accept: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer API_TOKEN_HERE" \
    -d "id"="123" \
    -d "name"="Kung Fury" \
    -d "email"="kung.fury@mail.com" \
    -d "tags[]"="Foo" \

Example of updating existing recipient with PHP-SDK:

$notific->recipient($id)->tag(['subscribed', 'artist']);
