Mail notification settings

Mail notification settings are the last item in the Mail area of the side panel. alt Sidepanel Mail notifications can be delivered via 1) an SMTP server, 2) Mailgun, 3) SparkPost or 4) Amazon SES alt Mail transportation method Select the transportation method by clicking its box. For detailed instructions on configuring your preferred transportation method settings, please jump to the correct sub section of this tutorial.

SMTP

alt Transport via SMTP If you are going to use f.ex. your internet service provider's own SMTP server, this is the place for those settings. For more information on what to fill in, please check your service provider's documentation, or get in touch with their helpdesk. Fill in the following information:

  1. Host - your SMTP server IP address
  2. Port - the port of your SMTP server
  3. Username
    • Fill in, if your service provider requires you to login to be able to send eMail.
  4. Password
    • Fill in, if your service provider requires you to login to be able to send eMail.
  5. Encryption - select the used encryption algorithm
    • Encryption protects your sent mail notifications from unauthorized access, so it's advisable to use it if possible.
  6. Name - the name that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications
  7. Email - the eMail address that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications

After you have filled in all needed data, click the blue Save button to finnish setting up your mail transport settings.

Mailgun

alt Transport via Mailgun If you have a Mailgun account you are going to use to send your mail notifications, fill in the following information:

  1. Mailgun Domain - Your Mailgun Domain
    • The domain name you have registered to your Mailgun account
  2. Mailgun Secret - Your Mailgun API key
    • You can find your private API key from your Mailgun dashboard.
  3. Name - the name that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications
  4. Email - the eMail address that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications

After you have filled in all needed data, click the blue Save button to finnish setting up your mail transport settings.

SparkPost

alt Transport via Sparkpost If you have a SparkPost account you are going to use to send your mail notifications, fill in the following information:

  1. SparkPost Secret - Your SparkPost API key
    • For information about creating SparkPost API keys check SparkPost documentation.
  2. Name - the name that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications
  3. Email - the eMail address that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications

After you have filled in all needed data, click the blue Save button to finnish setting up your mail transport settings.

Amazon SES

alt Transport via Amazon SES If you have an Amazon Simple Email Service account you are going to use to send your mail notifications, fill in the following information:

  1. Amazon SES Key - Your Amazon SES access key
  2. Amazon SES Secret - Your Amazon SES secret access key
  3. Amazon SES Region - Your Amazon SES geographical region
    • Available options: us-east-1, us-west-2, eu-west-1
  4. Name - the name that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications
  5. Email - the eMail address that will be shown as the sender of your outgoing mail notifications

After you have filled in all needed data, click the blue Save button to finnish setting up your mail transport settings.
